One at every corner (#1)
In December 2012, I travelled to Taiwan for a 8 day vacation with my family. We hopped onto a tour bus and travelled, literally, one round around Taiwan – from Tai Pei, Tai Dong, Tai Nan, Tai Chung, Kao Hsiung, Hua Lien and then back to Tai Pei again.
The one thing I saw all over Taiwan were the 7-11 chain of convenience stores. There is literally one 7-11 store at every junction or street corner of urban Taiwan. From tiny stores in alleys, to drive by bus/truck stops along highways.
With camera in hand, I would look out for the orange, green and red coloured band that signalled “7-11 here”. And in that 8 days, I only managed to shoot about 80 stores out of the reportedly 5,000 (and growing) 7-11 stores in Taiwan.
